What are the colors of Christmas?

Blue, white, red and green. These are some of the colors we associate with Christmas. For some, Christmas can be a time of sorrow, a time of forgiveness, a time to show love to others or a time of renewal. Join us each week as we look at a different Christmas color and dig deeper into what Christmas is all about.

Blue is the color of Christmas due to the stress, sadness, grief and loneliness that so many experience this time of year. Jesus can be our source of guidance, strength, comfort and hope.

Christmas is about restoring our relationship with God where our sins have been washed “whiter than snow”. Our past can be left behind us and our future is determined by grace.

The good news is we don’t have to do it on our own. John’s letter tells us that love comes from God. God showed his love for us the first Christmas when he sent Jesus into the world. His gift was given to everyone that believes in Him.

Green is the color of new life. Jesus was born to make all things new. Anything in my life that needs renewing can be renewed.
