Are You All In?

Are you All In? Whether your COMMUNITY campus went through the All In series last fall or you are going through it now, All In is the theme for our 2012-13 year. As a result I find myself challenged and asking some important questions:
1. Am I All In for Jesus? Jesus is All In for me. He left Heaven and came to the earth and showed us how life was meant to be lived. He was so All In that he went to the cross, died and then came back to life just for me. As a follower of Christ I have to ask am I willing to live and give my life for Him? Am I just a consumer or am I All In for Jesus?2. Am I All In for the Mission? The challenge Jesus left for each of his followers was to be about his mission: reaching people far from God; restoring God’s dream to this world and reproducing the mission in others. Jesus is challenging me to be All In for the mission. That challenge causes me to reflect and ask, am I just following Jesus for what I get out of it or am I, like him, All In for the mission and what I can give to others?
3. Am I All In with Generosity? If there is one word that describes how Jesus was All In, it is the word, generosity. He was generous with his life, his love, his grace and his sacrifice. He held nothing back. The generosity of Jesus motivates me to be generous too. The generosity of Jesus makes me ask, how much can I give away rather than how much can I keep?I hope this challenge of moving from a consumer to a follower and being All In has inspired you like it has inspired me. Just imagine who COMMUNITY could be and what we could do if everyone of us was All In?Your partner on the Jesus Mission!
