SCATTER WEEK: May 20-26

Every other week, our church "scatters" (literally, we spread out) to live on mission in Edgewater through our 4 missional opportunities.  Here's what's happening this week at COMMUNITY Edgewater:

- Students & Schools: Monday, May 21 at 7pm – meet at the Gorman's (1332 W Bryn Mawr, #2)

- Chalk the Block: Tuesday, May 22 at 8pm – meet at El Norte (5600 N Ridge)

- All-American Nursing Home: Thursday, May 24 at 5:30pm – meet there (5448 N Broadway)

- Vedgewater: Pick a day and time to be at the garden, meet others and plant your plot (6300 N Broadway)

Interested in Kids' City?

If not, then you should be!  Starting in June, COMMUNITY Edgewater will begin offering Kids' City for children from birth to Kindergarten and we would love for you to be a part of helping kids find their way back to God.  To get started, all volunteers must fill out a Kids' City application and background check.  If you'd like one, just send us an email today.  Thanks!

Sunday Gatherings in May

Healthy things grow, and our church is growing!  We want to keep growing as more and more people find their way back to God, so we are moving our Sunday celebration gathering to Swift Elementary School (5900 N Winthrop), starting June 3!  That's right, May will be our last month to gather on Sunday evenings (6pm) at The Edge Gallery (6318 N Clark).  In preparation for our move to Swift, May is vision month - over the next three weeks we'll explore why we do what we do - why celebrate on Sundays, why connect in new communities and why contribute through mission. This is what our church is all about, so you definitely don't want to miss it! 

All-Campus Leadership Community: Sat. May 12

If you're a part of COMMUNITY Edgewater, you do not want to miss our next ALL CAMPUS LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY on Saturday May 12th at the Plainfield Campus from 9AM-11AM.  We'll caravan together, so we'll leave from Rich & Dori's apartment (1332 W Bryn Mawr, #2) at 8am and return to the city around 12noon.  The morning will include: 

- Highlights from our Service Celebration (Clean & Green weekend).

- A review of our past ministry year.

- A very specific missional challenge for ever leader at Community.

- A fun and free summer (BBQ) gift to help everyone put that challenge into action!
