Small Groups
There are two types of small groups at COMMUNITY Edgewater: Interest Groups and New Community Groups.
Interest Groups are small groups of people based on a comon interest or experience. COMMUNITY Edgewater currently has one interest group for New Parents who live in and around Edgewater. More information regarding this group can be found HERE. We're always looking to start more of these groups, so if you have an idea, don't hesitate to email us!
New Communities are smaller communities within the larger community of Edgewater. We call them New Communities because it's where new things - life, beauty, creation, etc. - take root and flourish. As a small group of 10-15 diverse people, we GATHER every 1st and 3rd week to eat, share life together, discuss a topic from the Bible and pray. Then on the 2nd and 4th weeks we SCATTER for mission. Right now our church has 4 specific missional opportunities - click HERE to learn more about each one. Ultimately, New Communities are what COMMUNITY Edgewater is all about! You can pick a New Community by location, by day/time, or feel free to visit around and see where you connect best - but do whatever it takes to get connected in a New Community. We currently have two New Community groups in Edgewater:
Tuesday New Community: gathers every other Tuesday at 6:30pm at 5512 N Glenwood Ave, Apt 1. Click HERE to see a calendar for April 2012 and email Rich and Dori Gorman if you have any questions.
Friday New Community: gathers every other Friday at 7:00pm at 1735 W Thorndale Ave, Apt 2A. Click HERE to see a calendar for April 2012 and email Jesse and Ruth Chase if you have any questions.
