Beach & BBQ Event | June 23rd
Community Christian Church's Lincoln Square, Edgewater, and Lincoln Park|Old Town campuses are coming together for some summer fun on Sunday, June 23rd at Montrose Beach. Here's the plan:
3pm-4pm Beach Volleyball
4pm-5pm Campus Beach Volleyball Tournament
5pm-6:30pm BBQ & Games
6:30pm-7pm Celebration*
If your last name begins with A-M, please bring a dessert to the BBQ. If it begins with N-Z, please bring a side dish to share.

Millennium Park Concert | June 19th
Our rained out Millennium Park Concert gathering has been rescheduled for Wed, June 19th at 6:30pm. Same details as last time...Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic dinner and meet us on the south end of the lawn (furthest from stage). It will be a great night of classical music, friends, and enjoying the beauty of the city on a summer night. Hopefully it will be warm and sunny this time!
LSFC & Square Roots | Volunteer Opportunity
Here is an awesome way to BLESS our neighborhood's newest food pantry, the Lincoln Square Friendship Center. The LSFC is looking for volunteers to serve on behalf of the pantry at the Square Roots Festival on Friday night, July 12th from 7-10pm. For every volunteer, the LSFC receives funding from the festival proceeds. And...all volunteers receive free admission to the festival, food and drink coupons, a shirt, and an invitation to a Volunteer Appreciation Party 2 weeks later at the DANK Haus. Wow! If you'd like to join a group from our church and volunteer, fill out this Volunteer Application and submit it along with a photocopy of your driver's license to Tammy by Sunday, June 30th.
Begin with Prayer (Texts)
This summer we want to join together as a community to BLESS our neighborhood. The 'B' in BLESS stands for 'Begin with Prayer.' One way we are going to live out this BLESS strategy is to mobilize as many people as we can to pray for one specific thing each week this summer. Text the phrase LSQPrayer to 313131 to have the weekly prayer request sent to your phone. You can also find it on our Facebook page. Let's join together to Begin with Prayer this summer!
Lincoln Square Friendship Center
A big thank you to representatives from the new Lincoln Square Friendship Center who joined us recently to tell us about this new food pantry and community center that is starting later this year. The LSFC will be located at 2733 W Lawrence Ave. They currently have several volunteer opportunities available to help get this new pantry off the ground.
