Plan to join a group of friends at Pockets (4301 N Lincoln) on Sunday, May 19th after church (12pm-ish) to hang out and grab lunch together. These gatherings provide a great opportunity to meet and get to know the people you go to church with. They also are great events to bring friends! So plan to join us for some great calzones, sandwiches, and salads at our next gathering.
Mark your calendars for Saturday June 1st, the next All Church Leadership Community at the Naperville Yellow Box from 9AM-11AM.

Small Groups are the backbone of our community here in Lincoln Square. We asked Ken Jernberg to share his story about connecting in a Small Group:
I was involved with Small Groups at my previous church in the suburbs before moving to the city and attending COMMUNITY Lincoln Square. After going to a few services and liking the feel of the church and the friendliness of the people, I had the opportunity to have coffee with Tammy. During our conversation Tammy mentioned the Small Groups at COMMUNITY and asked if I would be interested in becoming part of one. I thought that it would be a good way to get to know more people at the church, so I said yes. Tammy suggested a few that I may be interested in and the DiPadova’s group seemed l Read More…
Nothing could be more important than the investment we make in the next generation and leading that charge for us at COMMUNITY Lincoln Square is Amanda Nelson. Amanda started in March as our new Kids' City Director. Here's stuff you should know about her:

We are in the middle of a three week series called Switch which is all about the stuff in our lives that can get out of control. How often do you wish there was a switch for your life that you could flip and it would change those things that you wish you could change? It could be things like our impulses, our habits and destructive things that we do to ourselves and those around us.
So how do you change? Well, that is what we will be talking about in Week 2 of the series Switch. One way is what Paul called in Romans 12:2, "by the renewing of the mind." This we Read More…
This weekend during our Switch series we will be talking about how to renew our minds. One discipline that we love to practice at COMMUNITY that is a key part of this is journaling. It's a great way to get all the stuff in your head down on paper where you can see it. Any thoughts, prayers, hopes, and fears all take on new meaning when we simply write them down. Watch a video of how some of us use journaling in our own lives. You can order our 3C journals online. This journal includes pages for prayer requests, a one year Bible reading plan, journaling pages and instructions on how to best use this journal. Get the most out of your journaling experience and grow as a Christ-follower every day. Order a 3C Journal at Lulu.com.
