HELP US BLESS OUR COMMUNITY

Your staff members are up to something really cool that we've never done before and we need your help.

We'd like to hear from you how our church might be able to bless our community this spring by serving - manual labor.  You know people we don't know and you have connections we don't have to identify projects in and around our community that with some manual labor, some tools and maybe even a fewbucks we could bless the community.

I'm intentionally being vague so as not tolet the cat out of the bag too early.  But think about projects that other organizations (not for profits, municipalities, park districts, schools, etc.) might need help with.  Maybe landscaping, painting, organizing, cleaning, etc.  Please email me Read More…

LIFEMAP

The Bible tells us in Psalms 139:13-14 that "You (God)created every part of me. You put me together in my mother's womb. Thank youfor making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Yourworkmanship is marvelous." Isn't that awesome to know each one of uswas created uniquely and wonderfully complex? However, knowing that, raisessome questions about what God's plan is for our life. How do I know what mypurpose is? How did God wire me up? What are my gifts, talents and abilities? Iwant to serve and be on mission in my church but where do I start? What in theworld does God want me to be doing for His kingdom?

WHO - WHAT - WHERE - WHEN - HOW??!!

Christmas Gift Mart Thank YOU

This year the Joliet Christmas Gift Mart was filled with miracles. The amount of toys that came in over the last two days made it possible for each child to get four toys. Here is what one parent wrote about the event: ...With the economy the way it is this was truly a blessing. ...the volunteers were extremely nice and helpful. There were so many people that offered to help pick out gifts or even to carry them. I had to tell everyone about this. My husband and I couldn't stop talking about it and [how] warm our hearts felt afterwards. signed The Gallegos We got over 300 thank you notes this year, all talking about how YOU made this happen and I can not thank you enough. You truly honored God. If you would like to see some pictures, Read More…

Remembering an Amazing 2011

By Dave Ferguson, Lead Pastor

As we end the 2011 year, I like to take time to reflect on all that God has done in and through Community and consider a year-end gift.  Remember each of these statistics represents changed lives locally and globally:

- 5540 people finding their way back to God weekly through celebration services.
- 370 people going public with their faith through baptism!
- $6,600,000 given to reach people far from God, restore communities to the dream of God and reproduce the mission in others.
- Over 1,000 students experiencing Blast and Junior High Camp.
 - AND, much, much more!

I would encourage you to please download our 2011 Community Annual Report to get even more details on all of the outstanding things t

Joliet's Christmas Gift Mart

Wow, what a time we had. Three days before the Christmas Gift Mart we had enough toys for 2 per child. Two days before we were looking at maybe three toys and on Thursday, we had enough for four toys for each child. God came through again. Included this year was 440 ethnic collectors dolls donated from Terri Lee Associates.Set up went quicker and smother than ever before thanks in no small part to the teachers and staff at Isaac Singleton school. The semi was completely unloaded in a record 20 minutes! We were all set up and ready to go by 6 PM.Shoppers started to arrive at 6 AM. The snow was falling and it was a perfect Christmas atmosphere. The Shining Lights continued to be part of the entertainment and again were a huge hit. The ba Read More…
