Oklahoma Tornado Relief

No doubt everyone's heard about the tornado disaster in Oklahoma this week.  Several Community attenders have already begun to ask how they can help, so this week we reached out to our friends at Lifechurch.tv in Oklahoma City for some direction.  

Relief efforts are still in the very early stages. We are working with local partners and churches to determine the best response over the coming days, weeks and months.  Right now, your help is needed most in these two areas:

1) Pray:  Please join us in praying for everyone who was impacted by the storm, for those who are helping, and for favorable weather conditions for the relief efforts.

Kids' City Move Up on June 2

It's almost time for school to end and for some Kids' City children to move up to the next zone in Kids' City.  On Sunday, June 2, children entering 1st grade in the fall will move up to Uptown, our elementary group.  Children entering 4th grade will move up to Club 45 small groups for girls and boys.  Children going into 6th grade will move up to StuCo on June 6.  If you have any questions, please contact marypartee@communitychristian.org

Turn It Up This Summer In Kids' City

This Summer, Kids' City will Turn It Up with a week long experience that will take each child on a journey through God's one big story...the Bible.  We'll be exploring how, all throughout time, God has been pursuing a relationship with us.  By the end of the week, we want your child to have a context of the bigger story of God and how we are each a part of it.  This year's summer experience will run from July 15-19, 6:00-8:30 p.m.   Cost is $10 per child and will include a t-shirt.  Online registration will be available soon.  Volunteers are needed!  For more information or to volunteer, contact marypartee@communitychristian.org

New Men's Small Group Starts This Sunday!!!

Men, if you're in your 20s and 30s and still haven't found the right small group look no further!!! This Sunday starting at 7pm join Dan Goulson and Mike Talley for a BBQ at Dan Goulson's home (7213 Courtwright Dr. in Plainfield) as they launch their new men's small group! Over the next two months they will be going through the study "Wild At Heart" by John Eldredge and would LOVE to have you and your friends join them for this amazing study!
