1. Read John 3:1-16, what stood out to you from this encounter between Jesus and Nicodemus?
2. How does it change John 3:16 to know who Jesus spoke it to? What does the context add?
3. Read John 19:38-42, what’s different about Nicodemus in this story?

Life Application

4. How do you know if you’re right with God?
5. Jesus says that being right with God isn’t about our behavior. What do you think of that?
6. What is the difference between believing and behaving? What does that change in your life?
7. Where do you feel like you are in God’s story? How close to the center do you think you are? Where do you want to be?
8. Have you ever seen someone’s life transformed because of God? If so, will you share the story with us?

Challenge

Think and pray about how you want God to transform your life. Where are the places you’re sitting on the sidelines and where have you been called into a greater engagement? Make a plan to add one intentional way of opening yourself up to God’s transformative power this week.
