Ian originally hails from Detroit, Michigan as the oldest of seven children and moved to Chicagoland in 2003 to study at Judson University in Elgin, IL. After spending a summer in northern India, he served as Director of Student Ministries until eventually becoming Lead Pastor in 2010. During that time, he has spoken domestically and abroad, toured the U.S with a harpist, worked with multiple justice ministries, taught at two universities, learned to crochet, started an organization called, “Beauty in the Common”, been interviewed on numerous radio shows, played drums on two albums, intentionally lived on the streets of Philly for a week (true story), and is married to his wonderful wife, Katie. Ian has a deep affection for teaching, the local church, and good coffee.
