The First Impressions Team interacts with everyone who enters the doors at COMMUNITY. As you enter the outside doors, you are greeted by one of our smiling greeters, as you enter the doors to the Celebration Service area you are greeted again and given the weekly communication card with the BIG IDEA for the week. Our ushers will help you find a seat and serve you during Communion and Giving Back To God. If you enjoy coffee or a treat, our baking and hospitality teams are here to make your visit a special one.
First Impressions Teams allow you to contribute in a way that’s comfortable for you. We are committed in ensuring everyone's first impression at COMMUNITY is a lasting impression.

Everyone loves fresh baked treats! Everyone loves being served! Our baking and hospitality teams serve to make everyone’s visit at COMMUNITY a special time. If you have a passion for cooking those special treats or for serving and making people feel welcome in a clean safe environment then this team is for you! Our baking team provides six dozen treats every six weeks on a rotating schedule. The hospitality team sets up our lobby area with coffee and preps the treats and ensures the lobby stays clean and presentable for our guests.
Each week a caring team carefully sets up the Gymatorium to prepare for weekend services on Saturday morning and another team just as carefully tears down the chairs at the end of the last service on Sunday. This is a great family or small group serving opportunity! All training will be provided and all that is required is an hour or less of your families (or small groups) time on either one Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon per month!
Commitment: 1 hour per month
The usher team provides assistance in finding a seat for guests in the Celebration area prior to the start of services and after service begins for late arrivals. They also serve communion and take offering during the service as directed by their team lead. Ushers are also responsible to report any emergencies to their team lead that occur during services and provide assistance as necessary.
Time Commitment: 1 hour 15 minutes per service. 1 - 4 services a month
The Greeting team welcomes guests into the building and into the celebration area. The outside door greeter opens the door for arriving guests and welcomes everyone that arrives with a SMILE. Inside door greeters welcome guests into the celebration area with a SMILE and pass out Communication cards and other relevant material as needed for the service. All greeters should be at their assigned door 15 minutes prior to the service and 15 minutes after the service has started. All greeters should be at their assigned doors after service ends to thank guests for attending and to assist or direct them as needed. Greeters work closely with the Welcome Center team to make sure all visitors to our church feel Welcomed and provide information as requested.
Time Commitment: 45 min – 1 hour per service. 1 - 4 services a month
