Reflection Questions

1. COMMUNITY is celebrating 30 years of helping people find their way back to God. Do you remember the first time you came to COMMUNITY?
2. Watch the 30th Anniversary video from service (available on our media page or on COMMUNITY’s Facebook page). What stood out to you?
3. When people find their way back to God they find new purpose for life, a new family, new ways to relate to friends and family, and much more. What did you find when you found your way back to God?
4. Read Philippians 3:12-14. What stands out to you?

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

5. Paul is saying that mature Christ-followers don’t run the race and then relax when they get ahead. Instead, we keep running the race knowing we haven’t arrived until we finish the race of life. In what ways are you tempted to slack-off in the race of faith?
6. This year we have been talking about what God wants to do in us and through us. In what ways have you seen God at work in you and through you?
