Opening Questions

1. Who is the most generous person you know? What makes them generous?
2. Every week we gather to celebrate what God is doing in our lives and to be unified in our mission of helping people find their way back to God. This past Sunday was Celebration Generosity, the one weekend we give our entire offering away in support of partner initiatives to accomplish the Jesus Mission. What value do you see in our whole Church getting behind these three teams (Local, Regional and Global)?

Bible Discussion

3. Read Mark 6:30-44. What do you notice in these passages?
4. Reread Mark 6:35-37. What do you see in this interchange as Jesus directs the disciples to feed the people? Why do you think Jesus tells his disciples to feed the people?
5. Jesus turns the small amount the disciples scraped together and turned it into a feast. What does this tell us about Jesus and our work as his followers?

Life Application

6. This miracle of Jesus demonstrates that the Kingdom of God is not just about power, but also overflowing love. In what ways have you experienced the overflowing love of God?
7. In what ways can you (we) extend that overflowing love to others?
8. Close the group in prayer, asking God to increase each person’s generosity.
