Week 2 | Who’s Your Crew?

April 3, 2022

Big Idea

All of us will experience times in our life when we need the support and accountability of other people. Connecting in a small group is like a retirement account: if you wait, it won’t be there when you need it.

Scripture

Ecclesiastes 4:7-12

Opening Questions

  1. How have you been able to B.L.E.S.S. someone this week?
  2. Who was your very first friend or best friend you can remember?
  3. We all need relationships that can help us when we face difficulties. How have your relationships helped you overcome troubles in life?

Bible Discussion

  1. Read Ecclesiastes 4:7-12. What do you notice in these passages? What stands out to you? How do verses 7-8 contrast with 9-12?
  2. The text anticipates facing hardships with one or two people. What problems are you facing today? How can our group be helpful to you?
  3. How might our small group continue to grow together as a close-knit community?
  4. A close-knit community also helps us become more aware of our blind spots. How open are you to receiving feedback and letting others speak into your life? What does it take to do that well?
  5. What steps can we take to keep growing as Christ-followers?
  6. Whom do you know that is isolated? How could we draw them into our small group?
