Life Application
5. The text says we were at one time dead in our sins, which is a metaphorical way of saying, “our sins are making a mess of our lives and those around us.” In what ways have you seen sin make a mess of your life?
6. God is rich in mercy, which means he’s the God of second, third, or forty chances, and God wants us to live a life without regrets. What regrets would you like to leave behind this year?
7. Look again at verse 10. God has made us fully alive so we might find new purpose in life. Where could you see yourself serving God in the next year?
Challenge
Jesus has called us to be fully alive! He died and rose again so we might have a new life – a changed life. How can you help one another make changes to be fully alive over the coming months? Pray for one another and ask God to empower you to be fully alive.
