Disciple Maker | Worship Experience

Week 1

May 5, 2024

Big Idea

Our aim in this service is to spend time adoring our God and King. Through music, reflection, and prayer, we’re going to fix our hearts and minds on Jesus, as we worship and magnify him.

Scripture

Psalm 95:1-5, Psalm 24:1-2, and Psalm 100:1-5

Opening Question

  • There are many ways to worship God. We can worship Him by singing, praying, loving our neighbor, reading
Scripture, and giving back to Him with our time, talents, and resources. Which one of these resonates with you
    the most and why?

Bible Discussion

  1. Read Psalm 95:1-5. What is the psalmist, David, calling us to do in these passages? In what ways do these verses emphasize the greatness and supremacy of God?
  2. The Psalms teach us the power of praise and worship in gratitude to our Great God. Read Psalm 24:1-2.
How does acknowledging God’s sovereignty over all creation impact our daily lives and decision-making processes? Discuss the concept of ownership versus stewardship in light of these verses.
  3. Read Psalm 100:1-5. What do you think it means to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord”? In what ways do you come before the Lord with singing and thanksgiving?
  4. What role does gratitude play in our relationship with God, as expressed in the Psalms?

Life Application

  1. What’s one thing you’re grateful for today, no matter how big or small?
  2. Have you considered giving back to God as a form of worship? If so, how has that impacted your giving?
Share any stories of God’s faithfulness to you through your giving journey.
  3. Close your group time listening to one or two worship songs of your choice. Have some blank paper in front of you and write anything the Lord puts on your heart while listening to the worship song(s). It could be a word, a Scripture, or even a picture. If time allows, share the significance of what you wrote or drew. End your time thanking God for what you are grateful for today, including His Greatness and Faithfulness!
