uniting people to be a catalyst for restoration in our communities
Real people, real change.
The vision of Community Cares is to restore God’s dream for the world by advocating for the vulnerable and the marginalized while encouraging people to treat others in the image of God.
Read below to see the different ways you can partner with us to accomplish the vision!
Education & Immigration
Community Cares partners with local schools and community organizations that support kids and their families through mentorship, providing social resources, and cultivating healthy relational environments. Through these partnerships, we hope to empower today’s youth to become impassioned, resilient leaders of tomorrow. Click below to learn more about our partners. – Jeremiah 22:3
Racial Reconciliation
God created all ethnicities in his image to make up one human race. His command to ‘love our neighbor’ is a way for us to intentionally honor his image in people who are different from us. Community Cares works to equip people to dismantle racism in themselves and to be agents of change in their communities. Look for upcoming book chats, Justice Series events, and LivingUNDIVIDED groups to be a part of this change. – Revelation 7:9
Poverty & Trauma Alleviation
Community Cares collects donations for our local food pantries, supports homeless shelters by providing needed meals, and cares for those who are vulnerable in our community. This includes individuals who have suffered trauma due to poverty and injustice. Psalms 146:7-9
Supporting the Incarcerated
Community Freedom supports incarcerated individuals, and their families and provides re-entry support for those transitioning back home. We currently have locations at the DuPage County jail and the Joliet Treatment Center that provide small group opportunities and weekly church services for individuals while they are incarcerated. Matthew 25:34-40
