Join the Discussion About Racial Inequality and the US Prison System

“The 13th,”  is an acclaimed Emmy Award-winning documentary that discusses the disproportion of African-Americans in our nation’s prisons and the US prison boom. The name of the film is taken from the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which abolished slavery throughout the United States and ended involuntary servitude except as a punishment for conviction of a crime.

We will use the film as an educational resource to help us discuss how to reconcile relationships in our nation and how we as Christians can expose the lies of racism. Be sure to watch the film prior to attending.

Date: Saturday, July 27
