Home Ministries Creative Arts

Our Creative Arts teams are the fuel that stokes the fire of our weekly Celebration Services.

At Community, it's impossible to define "typical" when it comes to the arts. Depending on what the big idea is that day, you might hear bluegrass music, alternative grunge, classic country & western, or mainstream rock.

You may see a gripping heartfelt monologue, or a man running around in a grizzly bear costume for no apparent reason. And you'll almost assuredly see something on the big screen that we created in our multimedia studio. But whatever the flavor, we hope you will always experience worship with the arts at Community Christian Church.

Explore opportunities in music, theater, media and production opportunities at Community – and see where you might contribute your talents.

If you need training, we offer classes in a variety of artistic disciplines in our School For The Arts.

Wanna be a Producer?

Production

Tuesday, July 01, 2008

Did you know that each weekend at Montgomery, we have a Producer who helps make the weekend services happen? The producer pulls together all the elements of the service and makes sure they run smooth. It's a fun role for someone who likes to lead a small team of people to accomplish something powerful. You don't have to be artistically talented, you just have to be good with people.

We are currently looking for more producers who could service once a month. If you are interested in shadowing someone to see it in action first-hand or learning more about this role, contact Zach Goforth

A Thousand Words: Using Icons Instead of Photos

Media

A picture is worth a thousand words, but if you’re going to use one with your own words, it better be the right picture. Now that using imagery with preaching has become fairly common, it’s important for churches to really think about what they’re projecting on-screen during a talk.

Photography Team Launches

Media

Written by Tom Greever Thursday, June 05, 2008

Community's new Photography Team has officially launched with team members receiving their first assignment starting this weekend. So far, 11 people have signed up to help us photograph our locations. Some are professionals, some are hobbyists, but all of us share a passion to communicate with images. Each campus has at least one member, but we could really use 2-3 photographers at each campus. If you are interested in joining the team, contact Tom Greever to be a part of this exciting new way to contribute to the mission of Jesus.
