Oklahoma Tornado Relief
No doubt everyone's heard about the tornado disaster in Oklahoma this week. Several Community attenders have already begun to ask how they can help, so this week we reached out to our friends at Lifechurch.tv in Oklahoma City for some direction.
Relief efforts are still in the very early stages. We are working with local partners and churches to determine the best response over the coming days, weeks and months. Right now, your help is needed most in these two areas:
1) Pray: Please join us in praying for everyone who was impacted by the storm, for those who are helping, and for favorable weather conditions for the relief efforts.
2) Support relief efforts by giving to: http://www.communitychristian.org/tornadorelief. F Read More…
Baptism Celebration is this Sunday!
Baptism is both a personal proclamation and a communal celebration of you placing your faith in Jesus. It is an affirmation that He alone is the leader of your life. Our next baptism celebration is this Sunday May 26th and I would love to help make it the best experience possible for you. If this is the next step in your journey or would simply like more information about making this public commitment to God I encourage you to talk to your small group leader, Aaron or myself. You can contact me Emily Weber at thewebers9@gmail.com or call me at (815) 405-1933.
