NewThing Team

In last week's article we invited you to consider being on the NewThing Team at Level 1 Commitment: praying for God to provide the leaders we need to start NewThing churches all over the world that would be about the Jesus mission.  A mission that is about REACHING out to those who are far from God, RESTORING the communities of which they are apart, REPRODUCING the mission in others.  Thank you for the responses we have already gotten from many of you saying, "I'm in!"

This week we wanted to emphasize how each of you can play at the Level 2 commitment of serving this growing movement of reproducing churches.

It was about a year and a half ago we accepted a new Leadership Resident into our NewThing Residency Program: Eduardo Rodriguez.  Eduardo and his wife Cybelle, and 18 month old Samuel, relocated from Annapolis, Brazil to prepare for starting a NewThing church in the capital of Brazil: Brasilia.  Due to the generosity, and servanthood, of COMMUNITY attenders, Eduardo and his family had a place to stay for the 10 months they were here learning, praying and planning to start a reproducing church in Brazil.  Now, Eduardo and his family are in Brasilia, beginning the early stages of planting a church with dozens of people meeting in their home to start a new church that will help even more people find their way back to God.

Hosting a Leadership Resident is just one of many ways you can help empower a reproducing church movement all across the world!  Here are other ways to jump in to a Level 2 commitment with the NewThing Team:

- Helping with one of our many NewThing Events http://newthing.org/events

- Working with our admin team to support upcoming events

- Partnering with us to encourage our NewThing churches through care packages

- And of course hosting a Leadership Resident while they are doing a residency
