Session 1 Discussion Guide

Key Verses:

2 Kings 6:15-17

15 When the servant of the man of God got up and we t out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. 16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

John 17:20-21

20 Some of the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the kingdom of God come?” Jesus answered, “God’s kingdom is coming, but not in a way that you will be able to see with your eyes. 21 People will not say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ because God’s kingdom is within you.”

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Ice Breaker:

1. What’s your name, grade, and what is one thing you hope happens

this year at camp?

2. Are you a morning person? Why or why not?

Questions:

1. One of the things mentioned tonight was the visible realm. The world we see and sense. What are some sights, smells, and noises :you have experience so far since arriving at camp?

2. What about when you are back home? What sights, smells, and noises do

you experience there?

3. On a scale of 1-10 how comfortable would you say you are talking about deeper topics like God, the bible, good and evil, etc. And why?

4. Ok, so we also talked about the hidden realm tonight. How would you describe the hidden realm?

5. Who is in the hidden realm? (for the leader: God and Angels, Satan and Demons, and humans!)

6. Have you ever experienced an overlap of the hidden and visible realms? What happened? What was that like?

7. If not, what do you think that would look like?

8. What are some ways at camp you hope to experience the hidden realm?

Session 3 Discussion Guide

1 Corinthians Io:n-I3 (NLV) All these things happened to show us something. They were written to teach us that the end of the world is near.So watch yourself! The person who thinks he can stand against sin had better watch that he does not fall into sin. You have never been tempted to sin in any different way than other people. God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted more than you can take. But when you are tempted, He will make a way for you to keep from falling into sin.
